Growing world-class fruit is deep in our roots and DNA

In today’s world of rapid change, fewer and fewer companies withstand the test of time. Auvil Fruit Company, the grower of the Gee Whiz brand of apples, cherries, and cider is an exception. Our roots run deep, dating back nearly 90 years when brothers Grady, Robert and David Auvil purchased 22 acres of land In Orondo. The singular philosophy the Auvil brothers built this company on still stands today. It’s about growing and sharing the best fruit in the world, and ensuring that our passion meets flavor.

Gee Whiz. We know it to mean impressive and amazing, or showing excitement and wonderment. Go ahead, sink your teeth into a fresh, juicy, crispy, flavor-rich, Gee Whiz apple and taste for yourself. We are confident you’ll love it! We promise.

Auvil focuses on innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence. And, we know that caring for those who care for the fruit produces unparalleled quality you can taste.

Producing world class fruit requires a world class team. We’re proud of our employees and we consider all of them family. If you pick up some Gee Whiz cherries or apples in your local supermarket, you can be assured that the individuals involved in bringing them to you care about what they do. The Auvil team is invested in each other and dedicated to growing the best tasting fruit. If our fruit doesn’t pass the test of our families for quality and taste, we won’t share it with yours!

Not only do we produce fruit with unparalleled quality and taste, we make sure we’re protecting our environment. We’ve been here 90 years, and we look forward to the next 90 and beyond. We’ve proven that we can lead the way on environmental stewardship without sacrificing world-class flavor. We farm smartly, and we’re proud of it.

We’ve been around a long time and growing world-class fruit is deep in our roots and DNA. We’re not going anywhere, except out to our orchards, or into our packing facilities to check on the fruit coming your way.
